Most raw edible cookie dough recipes call for all-purpose flour that needs to be heat treated before it is safe for our stomachs to consume raw.

When you make cookie dough with coconut flour, you don’t even have to heat treat the flour!

Using coconut flour turns raw cookie dough into a delicious gluten-free treat.

We use this defatted coconut flour for our recipe. But, if you only have all-purpose flour you will have to heat treat the flour before it is safe to consume raw.
To heat-treat all-purpose flour so it is safe to use: Put flour in a microwave-safe dish and cook for 1 minute and 15 seconds, stirring it every 15 seconds. Then set aside.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp real maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp semisweet mini chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl, combine coconut oil, maple syrup, and vanilla with a fork. 
  • Add flour and salt and mix until well blended.
  • Mix in chocolate chips.
  • Enjoy immediately, or refrigerate to thicken and stiffen the dough a bit.
